Olivia began training clients and their horses in 2006, establishing a specialized training program for each horse and rider that supports the needs and abilities of the horse and rider, Olivia's training style prioritizes clear communication, quality and safety.

Olivia began her formal dressage education by working under Felicitas von Neumann Cosel at First Choice Farm in Maryland. Felicitas is an international dressage competitor, Reitlerher, USDF examiner for the Instructors Certification Program, Editor, frequent contributor to Dressage Today magazine and clinician. Felicitas emphasizes the importance of theory and the practice of classical dressage education as well as creative and common-sense horsemanship. Lunch breaks at First Choice Farm were often filled with theory discussions and creative problem-solving strategies.

Olivia has formerly trained with renowned biomechanics expert Suzanne con Dietze, and Isabel von Neumann Cosel. She was Assistant Trainer to Kristina Harrison and has regularly worked with Dr Christian Schacht, Conrad Schumacher, Gail Hoff Carmona among others.

Olivia's teaching style is a combination of visual learning, somatic embodiment, cheerleading and timeless wisdom. She believes that riders perform at their best when they are having fun and remain open to learning. Olivia never shies from a client's challenge: be it ambitious goals, overcoming deep rooted issues, or supporting horse and rider partnership through the nuances of the discipline of dressage. Olivia believes that dressage riders all have one thing in common: a desire to better themselves through a better connection with their horse.

Our commitment to riding is not only to improve our time in the saddle but to improve our skills at horsemanship as well.
